Nancy O'Dell started her career in the broadcast industry as an anchor at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later she was a morning-news anchor as well as crime reporter for WCBD TV. The articles written by O'Dell in Charleston, about how the Charleston police handled DUI cases in a manner that was lenient, resulted in an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division. This investigation led to a more strict instruction for the state's authorities. Ms. O'Dell was awarded the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. Following her stint in Charleston, O'Dell worked as a co-anchor for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV as well as an investigative reporter. Then she was hired by Access Hollywood to work as an anchor on weekends and weekdays. As well as her job as the lead anchor for Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also an anchor for NBC News' Today and also contributes to Dateline NBC. She co-hosted several of pre-show arrivals to The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. The host of the Miss USA Pageant and Miss Universe.
